Hey, everyone. Up or up on to here. Today, we're going to go over what we call Zen and your perfect day. This is written by the mindset coach of Michael Jordan, Coe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, championship winners, people that are just relentless in getting results. He says it's rare to actually see someone shift into the zone. And it usually happens privately and silently. And so that's what we're

going to manufacture for you here. And here's what we're going to cover in this lesson. One, remember that seven-day foam list, laptop list, vacation, me and Matt or whoever you talk to when you enrolled, talked about? It's time for you to set it up. And it's time for you to enjoy it. Number two, we're going to talk about how rest is actually a part of work, and

what the different components of that is. Number three, we're going to talk about types of meditation, health, and how you can find out what's wrong, and then appropriately recommend something for yourself, prescribe something for yourself. After that, we're going to go into day-tight compartments, how to live your life every day so that it's perfect, because when you add all your days together, you're going to have that

perfect life. And lastly, we're going to go over, you know, how to structure your day. So, make your verse manager's schedule is what we're going to go over. All right, first, we're going to start off with rest. In this crazy, hustle-driven, do more, do more, do more culture, we have been huge proponents of momentum, and momentum comes with proper rest. And so, there's really two components of

rest. One is what I would call sleep, the other one's REM, which is rapid eye movement, which is a part of sleep, it's a deep part of sleep. The first component, like, heals your body, regenerates your cells, flushes out toxins, the second one, it really defragments your mind. And if you ever feel restless, if you ever feel like you can't get your mind to shut up most

of the time, the issue is you're not getting enough REM sleep. And so, if you're eating meat, like go eight to ten hours a night, get either, get some sort of sleep tracker, we love the misfit flash, or sorry, the misfit shine, we love the aura ring, we're about to order ourselves a couple, a lot of our friends have seen amazing analytics from it. If you're not

eating meat, you can do four to six hours, I want you to go verify this. I've done it myself for months on end and felt amazing, but... And I go back and forth, I'm not saying you should change your lifestyle, I'm just saying, you know, it is possible to sleep less. Let's go into the three different components of sleep one more time, so there's light sleep, which

you're going to get, if you're just laying down, your mind could be racing during this, you'll feel like you're sleeping, but you're not really sure. There's deep sleep, which is what I said, where your brain defragments everything. And then lastly, there's deep REM sleep, which is sometimes even when you sleep well and your brain is defragmented, you'll feel a little off. And so the deepest REM sleep

you're going to get is going to be when you're completely centered, and it's going to bring you to that place of absolute certainty of you knowing what's going to happen next, what needs to happen next, and how to make it happen next. Cool? So if you get the first one I mentioned, the misfit flash, the misfit shine, you're going to get the light sleep deep sleep. If

you get the aura ring, you can actually get deep REM, which is just a completely different statistic. You're going to start noticing a lot of things in your day that affect the deep sleep and the deep REM. And it's going to be coffee, it's going to be alcohol things that I hate to live without, but it changes your life. Again, I'm not saying switch your lifestyle over

entirely, but keep track of it. And any time you feel off, you'll know what those triggers are to get back. And like I mentioned earlier, like rest is a part of work. If you are not resting, you are not working, and your biggest force multiplier will be your ability to see things clearly, and that's going to come from this piece. All right, we want to rest. Now

we're going to go over how to be the best of you. I don't know how familiar you are with meditation. We're big proponents of it, but not like woo, woo, go off in your head into this crazy space meditation. It's very, very prescriptive. And at its deepest level, meditation is you being able to disconnect from the world entirely, and it's going to give you some sort of

a near-death-type experience, not like you feel like you're dying, but you're going to be able to disconnect and come back to the world, and you're ready to go and live life like you would if you had a near-death experience. At the lightest level of it, you're going to feel like, you know, when you sit down and cheer and you just go, and just completely relax for a

second, take a load off, you're going to be able to do that. Depending on what you feel, where it hurts, what is messing with your mind or body or day or interactions or whatever, there's a certain med-tape technique for that, and there's hundreds of kinds of meditations. So I've outlined the major ones in the sheet below, so just go in, and any time you feel off, you

can go into that sheet like a five, 10, 20-minute meditation that will help you fix it not immediately, but getting a practice of it will get rid of those things. Next, I want to talk to you about a certain meditation I love, especially if you don't have that certainty, don't feel like you have that purpose. In Zen meditation, they call this the monkey's mind versus the bull

mind. The monkey's mind is like, chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter. It's the voice you hear inside your head, like, oh, what's that? Should I drink that water? Why is he saying that? Why are they doing that? That's the monkey mind. The bull mind is less words and more drive. And I want you guys to be able to jump into the bull mind really simply and easily, and Steve

Jobs is actually known for doing a Zen meditation every morning. Zen is awesome. It does two things. It primes your mind, but it also primes your body by putting it in a really good posture. So check out that as well. Lastly, especially us agency owners, we don't like inactivity, and we don't like not jumping into the moment. And so right now I invite you to get really

comfortable with silence and to say less every day. And your certainty will come from you being able to choose and decide what's actually important to impart into the world and what you feel compelled or is a habit of you getting into. So just keep an eye on those three things. So if you feel off, go to that sheet below. If you want a quick, easy one minute

practice a day, go for Zen and check out silence. It's probably the most restorative practice I've ever seen in my life. All right. Now, getting in the now, what do you do? You've automated your agency. You've automated lead jump. You have someone managing it. What do you do? Well, if you have perfect days strong in a row, you're going to have a perfect life. Okay. I'm going

to repeat that. If you have a perfect days strong in a row, you're going to have a perfect life. And so, I mean, sit down and really write this out. Like, what does a day mean to you? Because time means different things to all people. And so the answers are going to string from how long it feels to what you want to use it for to how

you approach it. Just write all those out. And then start structuring your day. What do you want to do every day that you don't get to do? What do you need to do every day that you don't get to do? Put it out there. What did you use to do before you started this program? Before you decided that you're going to go towards freedom. What are you

going to do now that you're free? Why have you not done it yet? Answer those questions. Once you've designed your perfect day, you got to add the sprinkles on top, which is you got to do something uncomfortable, extremely uncomfortable every day. Because perfection is something you're never going to achieve or you're going to strive for by getting better and better and better. Okay. Lastly, we've attached something

we call a mindset manual. And the reason we attach this is every day when you go to sleep, your brain refreshes. And you're going to forget a lot of things. You're going to forget a lot of priorities. You're going to forget a lot of conversations. We want you to have your goals, your mindset, what you've done, where you're going front and center every day, and you'll see

billionaires do this by the way to structure their houses, how they decorate, who inspires them, what arts motivate them, like what pieces of art motivate them. This is all in their houses. Now, since we're all not billionaires yet, yet, we're going to put this in digital form, and we're going to keep it in front of us every day. And this might be the most powerful thing I've

ever done in my life, and it's been a crazy force multiplier. So get into this. It'll change everything. All right. So now that you have your perfect day and you've laid everything out, you're going to have to stick to some sort of schedule. And I know schedules don't sound fun. The creative ones out of all of us don't like them. We like free-flowing and doing whatever. The

managerial ones out of all of us, you guys are probably going, hell yeah, schedule. So I invite you to go below and read Paul Graham, who's the founder of Y Combinator, one of the most successful, I'll say seed stage firms, venture capital firms in the world. Pretty much every major company that's doing in the Fortune 50 right now, most of them, a lot of them are from

Y Combinator. So he wrote an essay called makers versus managers. Broadstrokes, it's makers have a certain type of schedule, manager have a certain type of schedule, pick which one you are, or since we're founders, we probably have to do both. Make sure you're not trying to schedule meetings in between when you're making stuff because switching costs are the only things. Switching costs are the only thing that

will drive you crazy at this time of your life. Okay, so just go read that essay. It'll change the way you structure everything and you won't feel like you're broken when you don't get stuff done. You'll just know that the system is not optimal. All right, here's your action items. One, go book your vacation. Me and Matt are going to be on you about this. And if

you hop on any of the calls, I'll have the mentors be on you about this. Go book your vacation. No laptops, no phones. Enjoy yourself. Live in a space without words. Have a good time. We're really happy that you guys got here. And for those of you that skipped around the course and ended up here, go back, like get here. It'll change your life when you do

get here. Two, pick your rest commitment. What are you committing to to rest every day? What is, like, it's going to be part of your job to rest. You've got to commit to a certain number of hours or a certain number of REM sleep. Cool. Next, pick your helmet and start meditating to fix that element. Whatever is going on. Because mindsets really, the fourth multiplier now. It

was before and now it's just a whole different level. For complete your mindset journal. So go through, finish it up, walk through the instructions that are below, and then you'll be able to refresh and remind yourself how great you are every single day. Lastly, stratify your schedule from now on with the make or verse manager approach. And you won't feel like things aren't getting done anymore. Cool.

You made it. Now it's time to enjoy and properly enjoy.
