Welcome to the weekly review. In this video, I'm going to walk you through the weekly review process in the ZNOS system. And weekly reviews are interesting as we'll get into. There's a lot of misconceptions around what you're supposed to do in a review, how often you're supposed to review, and what the purpose of a review is. So I want to address those and give you just an
absolutely amazing world class review system. And here is why. Even the best speedboats need regular course corrections to stay on the fastest route. You need to be checking your GPS, you need to be checking your compass, you need to on a regular basis, not just when you feel like it, make sure that your boat is going in the right direction, that it's heading towards your legacy, that
it's heading towards your goals, that it's pushing forward your key projects and creating the life that you want. Even the best speedboats need regular course corrections to stay on the fastest route. And your weekly review is this course correction process. So here's the problem. Most newer entrepreneurs don't have a systematic course correction process. They just sort of wake up in the morning, one morning, and think, you
know, oh, maybe I should do something differently, maybe I should try this, maybe I should try that. That's okay, you're always going to do that. But if you don't make that a habitual part of your schedule and you don't make it a procedure, it's not going to be controllable, it's not going to be predictable, and you can't guarantee that you'll make the key breakthroughs in your business
that you need to make. You're just going to be relying on basically luck. So that's the first problem. The second problem is many entrepreneurs do have regular reviews, but they're not great. They're not really good reviews. They just sort of sit down and think, you know, I'm going to spend half an hour thinking about what I want to change. Okay, what do I want to change? There's
no structure. So they fall prey to blind spots and biases. They overlook areas of their business that they don't like thinking about. They just tend to think about the things they enjoy. They don't follow any sort of systematized format. So they just kind of, again, it's better. It's better than not having a review process at all, but they're still relying on luck. And finally, most entrepreneurs review
too infrequently. They review once per month, or, you know, maybe even once per quarter, once per year, that's all they review. And you want to have a quarterly review certainly, but that should not be your only review. And a lot of entrepreneurs review too infrequently. They review once per month, or once every couple of weeks. And in doing so, they miss out on huge opportunities. It's like
if you just think about your boat, if you're heading in the wrong direction for too long, like you have a lot of time to make up, you could have gotten there faster. So weekly reviews keep you course correcting so that you don't waste time. Here's the outcome. Here's the solution. You want to follow a systematic course correction process every week that you know works devastatingly well. That
keeps you tight and on point and roaring forward towards your legacy, towards your goals, towards this six-figure business full of cash and clients. And you need to be systematic about it. You want to just know that you have the systematic course correction process that works devastatingly well. You want to have a structure that you follow that prevents you from falling prey to too many blind spots and
biases that helps you put your attention on areas of your business that maybe you don't quite like thinking about, so that you can be confident that you're not missing out on huge areas. You know, in the life pillars portion of the daily review video, we talked about how you don't want any key area to be neglected and just creep up. Same thing applies to your business. You
don't want any big missing areas to just creep up and sabotage all your progress. And it happens if you don't have the right systematic review process. And finally, you want each week without fail to review your progress systematically chart a new course and burst forward with new momentum and clarity. Each week, just as in each day and each moment, you are reborn. And so your strategy should
be reborn in a new iteration. It's only natural. Each week, you should take stock of what you've learned, review your progress and systematically chart a new course. Okay. There are three parts to this review process. So the first is you want to review each of these areas one at a time. You want to just go through your projects, your projects, your tasks, your daily activities and your
life pillar activities. And I'll show you in the next slide how to do that. And I'll also, later on in this video, explain what each of these are in a lot of detail with some examples so that you know what the distinction between a goal and a project and a task is, et cetera. But you want to go through and you want to review your goals, your
projects, your tasks, your daily activities and your life pillar activities. Now for each of these areas, you're going to write down the answers to these five questions. What should I stop doing? What should I do less? What should I keep doing? What should I do more? And what should I start doing? That should say, what should I start doing? So the reason we ask these questions in
this order is because they're in order of increasing difficulty. What should I stop doing? Well, it's really easy to stop doing something. What should I do less? Also easy to do less of something. What should I keep doing? You know, that's not hard if you're doing something, just keep doing it. What should I do more? Well, that takes a little effort. What should I start doing? Well,
that can take a lot of effort. So you want to start with the easiest questions and work your way on to the hardest questions in terms of energy, investment, and you want to ask these five questions of each of your five areas for a total of 25 questions. Now the third part once you've done this is write out your newer updated projects for the week, break each
project into the tasks that you need to execute in order to complete the project and put each task into your project management system and assign it to a specific day, time, and location. So that is the three-part daily review process. And I'm going to walk you through how to do this in my project management system in a minute. But first I want to make sure you understand
the difference between goals, projects, tasks, and daily activities and life pillar activities. So this is the execution pyramid. This is how you can think about executing, making progress, taking action in your business. So on the top of the pyramid, we have what you really want. This is like your dream, like 10k per month, tons of cash and clients working four hours per week. This is what you
sign up for this program for. And we've already gone through the goal setting video so you know how to set goals. And this is your goals. These are the top of the pyramid. Now underneath your goals, you have projects. And the difference between goals and projects is that goals have uncertainty. They're a little bit out of your control, whereas projects you have complete control of. So for
example, if you want to hit 10k per month recurring monthly revenue from five retainer clients, that is a goal that's really emotionally compelling. But the project would be, you know, you don't know with certainty what's going to get you there. So you might say, well, this week I want to send 200 outreach emails. Next week I want to start my sales funnel running with $200 a week
of ad spend. You know, the week after that I want to try hosting a joint venture webinar. You're going to test different things to see which of them is going to get close to your goal. So projects you can think of as hypotheses to achieve your goal. Things that might work. Tasks are what you actually schedule into your calendar. When you sit down, you know, these are
the times, the places, the activities that you work on when you sit down and make progress on your projects and hence make progress on your goal. So this is the execution pyramid. We have goals, projects, and tasks. Now I'm going to flush out these definitions a little bit more because they are important. So a goal is an emotionally compelling, uncertain outcome that is out of your control
but under your influence and requires multiple different projects to achieve. So goals are the top of the execution pyramid. And some examples would be achieve 30k monthly recurring revenue by September 31st, 2017. This is, you know, out of your control, there's some uncertainty. You can't just wake up tomorrow and execute a number of predictable steps and achieve that. You have to test things. You have to hypothesize.
You know, maybe it's cold outreach, maybe it's going to be a sales funnel, maybe it's going to be organic marketing. You need to test different methods that are going to get you to that goal. Another example would be close eight new clients at my 2k retainer package at your 2k retainer by January 5th, 2018 again, out of your control, specific emotionally compelling, definitely under your influence and
definitely requires multiple projects to achieve. So that's a goal. Now a project requires multiple steps to achieve an outcome within your control and you can think of them as a hypothesis, as hypotheses for testing a method of achieving a goal. So you have this goal that's out of your control but under your influence, there's a little bit of uncertainty and in order to achieve it, you're going
to test hypotheses. You're going to say, well, maybe this would get me there and maybe this would get me there. These hypotheses are projects and the projects are by definition within your control. There are things that you can just do. So projects are in the middle of the execution pyramid and here are examples. So send 200 outreach emails by the end of next week. You can say
track progress on that. This is under your control. There's nothing stopping you from doing that. You can just go do it. It's not uncertain at all. The outcome is uncertain. You don't know whether that's going to get you to your goal but as a project, it is under your control. Another example is document 100% outsourced operations procedure for my 2K per month retainer. That's something you just
sit down and you can just do it. You'll know when it's done. You won't know whether it'll work, whether it'll get you to your goal of working 10 hours per week or whatever it is but you can do it. You can sit down and get it done. It's completely under your control. So that is a project. Now a project always requires multiple tasks. So what is a
task? A task is a block of time that you schedule on a calendar in order to make progress on a project. So each task should include a date, time, location and either a specific outcome. You say I'm going to sit down and I'm not going to leave until I achieve this or I'm going to sit down and I'm going to work for two hours, a period of
time. That you will work. And tasks are the bottom of your execution pyramid. Now examples are tasks. You could say I'm going to spend two hours creating a funnel lead magnet this Thursday in my office from 3 to 5 PM. Another example, next Tuesday at 12 PM I'm going to sit down at a coffee shop and finish module two worksheets, finish the module two worksheets for the
six figure agency accelerator. These are both tasks. Other things that you can do in one chunk of time that push forward a project that you're working on. So those are the definitions of goals, projects and tasks. Now we also have these two other things, daily activities. A daily activity is just an activity that you do every day. So examples, maybe you practice copywriting every morning for 20
minutes at 8 AM. Maybe that's something you do every day. Or maybe you take a walk in the park after finishing work at 5 PM every day and these are activities that you also want to visit and iterate on because there are anything you do every day has a big impact on your life. So they should be a part of your weekly review process. And then finally,
life pillar activities. These are activities that you do that support one of your five life pillars. Emotional energy, nutrition, exercise, social connectedness, mental clarity. So example would be workout at 2 PM every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. That supports your exercise pillar or meditate for one hour each morning at 7 AM. That supports your mental clarity pillar and your emotional energy pillar. And that is, you know, that's also
something you do every day. So you can choose whether it falls under life pillars or daily activity, but it is a life pillar. So those are the definitions of goals, projects, tasks, daily activities and life pillars. So before I wrap up this video, I'm going to share with you how I execute these. So I use a project management software called the Pulse that I introduced in the
daily review walkthrough video. So I've already walked you through my win today board. I've already walked you through my reflection and strategy board. But what you're going to do is, and here's a daily review worksheet. You're asking, you're the 25 questions. What you're going to do at the end of asking these is go through and update your project management system, your goals, projects and tasks accordingly. So
you're going to update any projects that you're working on this week. And you're going to go through and update the tasks. Now, what are these? I should take some time to explain this. So into Pulse, I have win today. That's what I do today. I have reflection and strategy. That's what I do this quarter. Now I also have my five key pillars of the business. Now if
you remember in the quarterly review, we broke down the five key pillars of your business. And this is simply where I store my projects. Any given project for the quarter falls under a particular pillar. You know, I have a project this week of completing and uploading Module 3 of the six figure agency accelerator. I've already done that. So I can take a look at that. And here's
my project of completing the six figure agency accelerator course, something completely under my control. And you know, I've completed Module 3. That's done. So that's saved under marketing sales and product because it's a product. And then I have the other key areas, I don't have an operations project right now. I'm taking a course for the leadership and people pillar. And you know, I just have these five
areas, same, same quadrants as win today except for their due dates. So you have a person, you can assign it to team member if you have a team, then a quadrant and value, then status and then a due date. So these are the five key areas. Whenever I have a project here, I put it into one of these areas and then whenever I have a task to
do today, I put it in here and then I'll also add it to my calendar. So when I go through and say, okay, this is sprint eight, week eight of the quarter, and I have these projects, I'll break down each of these projects into tasks, put them in, you know, my, in the correct pillar board. And then I'll put each of these tasks on, well, these are
weeks, it's a good example. I'll put, I'll put each of these tasks on my calendar. And I'll put it in actual blocks of time. And then during my daily review, I'll schedule my win today. I'll put in everything that I need to do tomorrow. So that is the project management system. And it just gives you incredible, incredible clarity to have everything out of your head and store
it with complete detail, knowing, you know, how valuable each task is. When you're going to do it, you know, with due dates and how important it is, how urgent it is, and you don't have to think about any of this, you just have to put it in your system and follow it. You know, you only think about this during your daily review and during your weekly review.
Other than that, you just execute what's on your calendar and you execute your win today board. So I hope that makes sense. And I'll end with this. The weekly review will keep you sailing towards your legacy at all times. It will keep you constantly course correcting. You will constantly be learning from failure and iterating forward. This is what a daily review does. It allows you to course
correct and singly rapidly and make incredible progress towards your legacy, towards your goals, towards this six figure agency and the life of your dreams. It is an integral, integral part of this NOS system in this program. So go get the review. All right, guys, I will see you in the next video.
