Trusting the Process: Erin Willett of The Biggest Loser - Different Hunger

About this video
Erin Willett discusses how important it was for her to focus on and trust the process while she was on The Biggest Loser (where she lost 87lbs!). Even after 3 months of working out and losing 30 pounds, Erin still looked in the mirror and was wondering when she would start seeing results. This is well beyond the point that most people would have given up… So many people give up when working towards their goals because they don’t see the results that they want to see, when they want to see them. This is the problem with focusing on the OUTCOME, not the PROCESS. Fix this by focusing solely on the PROCESS. What we can control, and what we need to focus on, is consistently working towards our goal, every single day. For Erin that meant sticking to her her diet and workout regimen, every single day — even when she didn’t feel like it. Key Takeaway: Focus on the process by determining what you need to do to achieve your goal, then go and do it, everyday. ---- Thanks for watching. I lost 30 pounds on the ranch and I still looked in the mirror and was like what like I look exactly the same I think that that was the thing was just having faith weirdly enough I'm like I'm not really a religious person but having faith in the process of like okay if I just keep doing this
to I don't feel like it but I just have to do what I got to do today I just got to get it done and then I'll just be a little bit closer and then you know you don't even see result like I been I lost 30 lbs on the ranch and I still looked in the mirror
and was like what like I look exactly the same I put on my pants me they fit exactly the same and it was just like what am I doing this for and I'm if I wasn't on I I say to a lot of people if I wasn't on The Biggest Loser I don't know if I would have
gotten to this point like I hope that I would but I just feel like I would have given up and I feel like so many people do because they don't see what they want to see when they want to see it and that's not when your job happens it's not when love happens happens it's not like none
of those things are convenient and like okay it's 6:30 on a Tuesday like like these things are gonna happen now like that's it's just not gon to happen that way and and I feel like accepting that idea maybe is the the first step to it and just doing the right thing every day and and and that was
the thing for me was like three months into the process was when I was like whoa look at what I'm doing like look at what I'm capable of like right um but but but that mindset changes throughout the whole process too it's not just sign right and now you know I I think there is that that awareness
you were saying awesome thing yeah no I totally totally agree with all of that and I think it's it's something that everybody needs to hear because again um we see these big successes but we don't see we don't see the the struggle right right I that is one thing that like as a pop culture once again like
I love that it's just like we see like the people like Loop up into becoming a phenomenon but we don't see anything that happened we don't see the other side of the camera right you only see what's in that little square of of the shot like you don't see what's going on over here and over here and
behind here and in here like right yeah I I wish that we could expose that a lot more in our generation because I feel like it would give people a more realistic idea of how success happens [Music]
