About this video

Brett McKay's advice to his twenty something self: "There’s never a perfect time to do anything, so go ahead and do that thing you’ve been wanting to do. Also, achieving goals is a lot more underwhelming than you think they’ll be. Quit thinking you’ll be happy once you’ve achieved them. Enjoy the process. Finally, focus on being useful, not important and you will go far." Brett McKay is an entrepreneur, author and the founder of The Art of Manliness. The Art of Manliness is visited by millions of men all over the world, and aims to encourage readers to be better husbands, fathers, brothers, citizens. focus on the process and the journey of achieving your goals and embarking on pursuing something that makes you uh better as an individual as a professional Etc and uh the last great point of Brett's advice is to focus on being useful not important the last great point that Brett mentions is to focus on being useful and not

important and that's something that a lot of the contributors I've spoken with have mentioned and it's all about serving others and adding value to others not only will it increase your happiness and your satisfaction action and your fulfillment because you're impacting other people but it will also have a great impact on moving yourself along as a professional

in whatever it is that you choose to pursue because people recognize others who provide massive amounts of value and they return the favor and again as Brett mentions you will go far if you make that your sole [Music] Focus ah ah ah
