About this video

Two years ago I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia. People would always says, “Wow, study abroad. What a great, once-in-a-lifetime experience!” Everytime they said that, I viewed their statement as a challenge. A challenge to not live an average life. A challenge to not let this type of travel or this type of experience, be in fact, once-in-a-lifetime. I found so many positive benefits from traveling and I wanted to make it a key part of my life. Why the hell would I settle for having this type of experience happen once? I started doing research in an attempt to figure out how I could incorporate travel into my lifestyle. This led me to the world of lifestyle entrepreneurship and digital nomads. These people lived all over the world, they worked from their laptops and they funded their lifestyle and travels through freelancing or digital/online businesses. I knew that this was the lifestyle I wanted. I made this lifestyle my goal. This was my dream. I didn’t have any friends who were living like this, so I immersed myself in this world online. I sought out those who lived in this way and read countless articles, blogs, eBooks, books and more about how to make this dream a reality. After two years of doing this, it got to the point where I asked myself, “What am I waiting for? Why not me?” My goal was no longer some abstract, unattainable goal. My dream seemed so attainable because I had constantly read about and seen people who were living exactly the type of lifestyle I dreamed about. Achieving my goal was just a matter of time because my SUCCESS was INEVITABLE. You need to do this in your own life for whatever goals or dreams you’re working towards… Let’s say you’re trying to lose weight. Are you going to surround yourself and hang out with your fat friends who have horrible eating habits? Or are you going to surround yourself with your meathead friends who post shirtless pics on instagram? Your answer should be the second group of people. Because those are the types of people that inspire possibility and will help you get closer to achieving your goal. Looking at a more historical example, there’s Roger Bannister who became a legend for breaking the 4 minute mile mark... According to experts, breaking the 4 minute mile was a physical impossibility. They said it simply could not be done. Then Roger Bannister did it. Then, less than one year later, someone else did it. Fast forward to today, we have HIGH SCHOOLERS breaking the 4 minute mile mark and this feat is NOWHERE near as impressive as it was in Bannister’s time. This just shows you the power of witnessing others doing incredible things. This shows you just how many possibilities are really out there. When you surround yourself with people who inspire possibility, the ONLY limitation on what you can achieve is your SELF-LIMITING beliefs. Today I come to you as proof of this. I’m currently coming to you from a gorgeous, remote island in the middle of the Caribbean. The only worry that I have right now is making sure my MacBook doesn’t get any sand in it... I’m literally living the dream that I set for myself two years ago. Just this morning I closed a deal that will be funding my entire trip and then some more on top of that. When I haven’t been working I’ve been scuba diving, snorkeling and eating fresh fish that we caught an hour ago in the crystal blue water. Yeah, I’m THAT guy right now. I get it. But I hope you see beyond that and understand that the possibilities that lie in front of you are there. I’m proof. I made my success inevitable, and it took me two years, but I achieved my goal, and you can too. I’m telling you this to let you know that none of this would have happened if I didn’t 1) have a clear vision and 2) surround myself with the types of people and content that inspired possibility. You can apply this to your own life by doing the exact same thing I did. It might take a few months or even years, but damn it it’s worth it. Step 1: Figure out your vision and a goal that you can work towards Step 2: Seek out the individuals who are living your dream and the resources needed to help you get there. We get one shot at this existence. Make it count. what am I waiting for like this type of lifestyle is so achievable so two years ago when I was studying abroad in Sydney Australia I made a conscious decision to figure out how I can make travel a huge part of my life and people would always say studying abroad what a great once in a-lifetime experience and every

time they said that I viewed it as a challenge because I was committed to not living an average life and not having study abroad be a once in a lifetime experience because again I I found so many positive benefits and and outcomes from traveling that I I truly wanted to make this part of my life something that

was very important and something that I did often so I started doing my research and trying to figure out how I can incorporate travel into my lifestyle how to make this reality possible and this led me to the world of lifestyle entrepreneurship or digital Nomads these are people who live all over the world and they work from

their laptops they have digital online businesses or maybe they're Freelancers and they fund their travel and their lifestyle through these types of work and they in my opinion were living the ultimate dream and since I stumbled across this whole new world of people living the dream I made it my goal to one day achieve that same sort

of Lifestyle I didn't really have any friends who were living in this sort of way and and I would even tell some of my friends about it and they were kind of like what like how's that even possible so what I did was I started immersing myself in this world I I started reading blogs I started watching

videos I started reading ebooks and books and and articles Etc after two years it was just what am I waiting for like this type of lifestyle is so achievable because again I had surrounded myself with this type of content and it just made my abstract dream my abstract goals so much more attainable and and it was very

very motivating let's say that you're were trying to lose weight are you going to surround yourself with your fat friends who have horrible eating habits or are you going to surround yourself with your Meathead friends who post shirtless pictures of themselves on Instagram you're probably going to choose the second group of people because those are the types

of people that are going to inspire possibility and are going to help you get closer to your goal going back to a more historical example you know you talk about Roger bannister's 4minute miles there were experts and people who said that the human body literally could not run a sub four-minute mile but within one year of Roger

banister breaking that Mark another person did it and today we have high schoolers breaking the 4minute mile Mark and it's nowhere near as impressive of a feat as it was when Roger banister first did it but it just shows you the power of seeing other people doing what you want to do and being aware of the possibilities

that are really out there because again when you surround yourself with people who Inspire possibility the only limitation on what you can achieve is your self-limiting beliefs today I come to you from an absolutely gorgeous remote Caribbean island um the only worry that I have really is trying to make sure that my MacBook doesn't get any sand

in it um but I'm I'm literally living the dream that I set out to live two years ago and just this morning I closed a deal that will be funding my trip and and then some more on top of that and none of this would have happened if I didn't make a conscious decision and have a clear

Mission and a clear purpose and then surround myself with the types of people and the types of content the types of tools that helped me get to where I wanted to get to so the way that you can apply this to your own life is to do just that figure out whatever your vision is figure out what

your mission is figure out what your purpose is and then surround yourself with the people who are going to inspire possibility and then surround yourself with the types of content that are going to help you get there and help you implement the strategies needed to achieve your goal [Music]
